This came out so much better than I could have hoped, it almost has a wood grain and would equally nice as a headbadge or a ulock-badge (fits most kryptonite mini models).
A customer wanted me to incorporate two or three of my designs into a u-lock badge. I think it came out pretty nice. Copper, hand cut, hand stamped, with patina.
Made this for a secret Santa present for a friend. It was fun to make, and goes along with the acorn head badge her boyfriend got me to make for her.
Its copper with a brass squirrel with a little splash of liver of sulfur on there to give it a nice look.
Copper with liver of sulfur oxidation, then polished slightly to leave the letters dark but the rest more bronze like. Bike cut out was pierced out with saw and pin vice drill. I annealed the copper before using the letter punches and it gave a much nicer impression.
