Made this for the Katamari Cat Alley Cat race…I personally was not very happy with how it came out. It was all very thick and I was very new to soldering.
It was brass, bronze, copper, and came out…meh.

Some more pictures of the bronze crows I made forever ago.
A nice copper skull with tiny brass skull eyes. Nice head badge for a day of the dead bike, or if you are into that kind of thing.
I made this from a piece of an old computer power supply. It is Galactus, Eater of worlds!
Another Halloween race, another head badge prize donation. I went with something recognizable and popular, jack the pumpkin king.
Mike sent in this great picture and comment about a cowbell head badge his girlfriend had made for him.
it came out totally awesome! my girlfriend sent you the artwork (sorry about the quality) and gave me the head badge for my birthday. i was complete surprise and i was blow away with how nice it came out!! I LOVE IT. probably took me ~1.5 hrs to get it into the right shape to fit my bike but it looks pretty bad ass on my cyclocross bike.
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words Mike. I am glad you like it, and you did a fine job of attaching it to your bicycle. It will look especially good after you get it all covered in mud and muck in the next cross race.
Got my first custom head badge order from Etsy.
I was sent this:
And came up with this:
Gave it a nice high polish and burnished the edges (I know no one ever looks but I like to make them classy). It was a simple design, but I enjoyed making it none the less.
Patrick showed me his sperm whale top tube badge after it was applied.
He got a little bit of black stuff on it while installing it, but I showed him how he could buff that off easy with some sand paper, I actually think it looks pretty awesome all dirtied up.
I found a bunch of pictures from some of my old projects, you can see them below. Wow I had totally forgotten about these pictures, a bunch of old head badges that I made for races, and some other stuff like silver bike chain earrings. I will keep looking and see if I can find some more.
Lots of pictures, you might want to click below to read the rest.
Even though these little guys take forever, and are very hard to finish (polishing requires a very fine touch), I really like the end result, and I bet it would look dead sexy on a bicycle, or a journal.
