H Bomb Head Badge
For a customer who tells me this is the nickname of his special someone. Copper, pierced, cut, finished with black liver of sulfur patina. Pre-shapped and left soft (for further shaping).
I Am In Ready Made Magazine
Pretty awesome! Got one of my head badges into Ready Made magazine for the June/July issue.
Heart Cog Headbadge
Another custom design for a customer. Copper with patina, not bent yet.
Acorn Headbadge
This was a commissioned present for a friend of a friend (who is also a friend), the bottom is brass, and the top is some copper I took a hammer and chasing tool to, and then a little liver of sulfur to give it that good wood look.
I really like the way this came out and I think it might be one of my best head badges yet.
Steel Trident Headbadge
My Work In The Wild: Cow Bell Head Badge
Mike sent in this great picture and comment about a cowbell head badge his girlfriend had made for him.
it came out totally awesome! my girlfriend sent you the artwork (sorry about the quality) and gave me the head badge for my birthday. i was complete surprise and i was blow away with how nice it came out!! I LOVE IT. probably took me ~1.5 hrs to get it into the right shape to fit my bike but it looks pretty bad ass on my cyclocross bike.
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words Mike. I am glad you like it, and you did a fine job of attaching it to your bicycle. It will look especially good after you get it all covered in mud and muck in the next cross race.
Custom Head Badge Order: Cow Bell
Got my first custom head badge order from Etsy.
I was sent this:
And came up with this:
Gave it a nice high polish and burnished the edges (I know no one ever looks but I like to make them classy). It was a simple design, but I enjoyed making it none the less.
Some Older Projects, In Pictures
I found a bunch of pictures from some of my old projects, you can see them below. Wow I had totally forgotten about these pictures, a bunch of old head badges that I made for races, and some other stuff like silver bike chain earrings. I will keep looking and see if I can find some more.
Lots of pictures, you might want to click below to read the rest.
Race To Candy Land Alley Cat Headbadge
